That wasn't really my point. I was just asking if anyone experience losing bass quantity as their tenores age

@Lurk650 Just curious what do you find to be better at same price or lower?

  3. Lurk650

    LZ-Z03a and Bette 10mm

i checked and i.Valux Bette 10mm looks cool, but LZ Zo3a looks kinda cheaply packed.. is this the one you meant?

but well looks can be deceiving.. if it compares to Tenores then these should be up there.

  5. Lurk650

Yes that's them but if you get them from his store on Aliexpress using the app they are $24. Check out the Chinese products thread, tons of great gear for good prices

I saw that I.Valux impendance is 32 ohm and Lz Zo3 is 16ohm (same with Tenore, Adagio2 and Heaven II that i owned so far)..

im not a technical audiophile (or an audiophile at all, i just enjoy good music) , does it means higher is better in layman understanding?

Can you get the cotton filter out again and check whether that makes a difference for bass?

  8. Zeebit
No improvement. I stuffed it with cotton because the treble got harsh after removing the mesh.

My Piston 3 has noticeably more bass than my tenore. Should this be the case?

Just wanted to rule out any side-effect on bass, that's why I asked. Anyway, if the cause isn't in front of the driver, that would only leave the back vent. Not very likely though that it would get clogged over time.

    Sadly, I haven't heard the Piston 3.

both impedance and sensitivity play a factor in how loud they will be at a given volume. Not the quality of the IEM. The Bette are easy to drive

Also, an honorable mention is the VJJB K4, listening to them again after a few months with some Auvio Medium tips and they are damn good. $23 on AliExpress website and $16 shipped using the app

My best earphone I have, ever had, is my TK12. I got it for $120, one dynamic and two BA. Super easy to drive. Sounds really good OOTB but burn in for 300hrs and it's fantastic.

Jumped to $150 but starting 3/29 if you order from the app it's $99 shipped
