My friend has a zen micro and I actually just fixed his loose headphone jack (as I had done to mine) only to find out that you could only put 29 songs on the hard drive. I updated the firmware to the most recent and reset it, but to no avail. Has anyone encountered a problem like this with a zen micro? If so, is there any way to fix it? Thanks in advance. Hope my zen doesn't crap out like this... it's got to last me until I have enough money for a zune or a samsung p2 or one of the new sony's...

If I am not mistaken, in Zen micro, there is a setting to set how much space is for storage and how much is for music. My guess is your Zen micro is set so that you have only 128mb of music space, the rest are for storage. Files inside the storage space can't be read by the player. Look for the option somewhere in you player.

so no go on the disk reformatting... seems the removable disk was already disabled, no portion of the hard drive was being used for that purpose. Anyone have any other ideas other than the hdd just crapped out?
