I don’t think they have one or if there’s a plan for one unfortunately.

But we never know if they’d make one in the future. I just don’t think there’s a big enough demand for it.
Yes, thanks. I did think it was a long shot but worth asking. In the long run I hope to get away from single-ended amps anyway, would just be something to use until then

May be a slightly different to the original question. Dunu did ask on their Facebook page if people are interested in a Lightening connector option like they currently offer for Type-C. So, I would say there is always a possibility of other connectors but read following...applies to both software and hardware.

Somewhat staying on topic, I wonder if anyone has ever done a definitive analysis if plugging a 2.5 plug into a 6.3 adapter causes any loss of sound quality, however slight it might be. It seems there must be some, even if extremely slight. If not I guess this becomes a moot point, other than the previously mentioned OCD of mine

I used to be concerned with such issues, not wanting to use adapters because of perceived signal loss/degradation. This was a hangover from my speaker system years where I fussed over signal chain purity ... I’ve relaxed quite a bit with my adoption of owning flagship iems only.

Hakuzen has measured a lot of adapters and they measure so low (in the 0.0x range...) that they really shouldnt have any noticeable impact on the sound.

Okay thanks this is good to know. And the way I see it if someone does need an adapter, a straight one going from a small plug to a larger plug is the best scenario of all. The one I'm using is 3.5 to 6.3 that comes with the Zen. It's almost dead center in this photo

Yeah, thats a really short one.

But I prefer this one, high quality, easy to grip and feels very durable:

(got the 4.4mm ->6.35mm and also ordered the 2 other variations.)

Our chief engineer Andy addressed the impedance of adapters in Leiyin Audio's visit to our factory at 6:36:

Yeah, really low. I wouldnt worry about that for the zen since it is a single DD. Even all-BA iems shouldnt be affected by that....

I've been really enjoying my ZEN again lately, my daily 5km walking companion. I tried the stock foam tips today and love them, nice deep bass but doesn't suffocate - very nice. @DUNU-Topsound - are they Comply tips? BTW I really hope you do something in a higher end model hybrid or tribrid using the ZEN DD... I'll be first in line!

Tom at DUNU told me the Zen will be the top of the series, that there will be two others that employ this singular driver, both being less expensive models. With that said, the response to the Zen has been very positive from what I’ve seen, so DUNU may decide differently at a later date.

I have been so busy recently I had not listened to the ZEN for nearly a month. I gave them a road test a few days back, I love them even more now. Previously I had used them exclusively for listening to mostly 70s jazz, funk and soft rock.. Tried hip hop, grime and dance music to test their versatility. Passed with flying colours. Especially impressive was Cola by Camelphat. A house track that is wonderfully produced with a thunderous bass. The ZEN dealt with it without breaking a sweat. The slam on the mid and sub-bass was superlative. The thing that struck me most was no matter how much I tried the bass never sounded boomy, distorted or flabby. Clean, fast and textured. I was pleasantly surprised how it handled modern music like a boss. I adore them. A fantastic set!

If things didn't change, i.e my Sony Z5s not dying, I'd have got these by now. Still on the radar at some point, but the Z1Rs are incredible for electronic. The Eclipse in a tribrid format would be amazing in the future.
