Hello,

Coud someone tell me what are the differences between the two models soundwise?
It seems that they removed features like no more remote and no more amplifier-only mode, but was it worth it?
And does the improvement in sound warrant the removal of these features?

As a side note, i am looking for a transportable dac/amp combo in this price range or less. If you have suggestions for this too i would be grateful

Thanks

I'm not sure if anyone has heard both sound-wise. Based on examining pics of the PCB, it looks like the headphone amp section of the Mark II is missing some components compared to the Mark I, which supposedly is a clone of the Lehmann BCL. They also got rid of the digital volume control and replaced it with a pot. Supposedly there were some improvements in noise performance.
