Where's the lower limit for "hi-fi"?

I can't even recall most of the Sennheiser models I've owned over the last 8-10 years (the ones in my sig plus the HD515 and before then it's a bit of a blur honestly, at least a few from the 400 series I think), let alone the brands and models of all the cheap and possibly a few slightly less cheap headphones and earbuds I've owned since I got my first Walkman back in the mid 80s.

MDR-EX51 were my first headphones. I know they are IEMs, but they introduced me to a world of "non-stock" headphones, i.e. they don't come with the music player! Since then I have moved on a pair of SR225s, UE 3s, D2000s, and now I'm waiting for the HF-2s =D

My first, apart from the crappy apple buds that came with my iPod, were some JVC aircushions. I've now got some SR60s, after my dad stole the aircushions, when he realised how much better they are than the stock ones (I don't think they're any good any more
