So anyway...

I'm surfing through the myriad of move channels and I realize that most of them are usually showing terrible movies. However, the one bad movie that I cannot pass up is the Bubble Boy. For the life of me I cannot stop chuckling with this one.

Which bad movies do you like? (or care to admit to)

Fight Club is a great movie...not embarassed about that one at all.

Roadhouse (yes, with Patrick Swayze) is one that I find embarassing. I don't know what it is about this movie, but if it's on at 2:30 AM, and I happen upon it while clicking through the channels, I'll stay up and watch the whole thing.

I'm so ashamed!!

Actually, good point... I like almost every post-apocalyptic movie I see even if it's complete crap (like those Sci-Fi channel TV movies). The Stand is one of them -- really bad acting (except maybe for Gary Sinise). The only one I couldn't stand in a very long time was Equilibrium which has Christian Bale in it, whom I loved in American Psycho. That movie was just such a horrible rip-off from the grand triumvirate of dystopia novels -- Zamiatin's We, Huxley's Brave New World, and Orwell's 1984. Images were stolen (for example, the oversized leader speaking to Bale as in We or the enclosed city as in that same book), the idea of a drug creating the society was stolen (as in Huxley), a central part of society rediscovering his feelings because of a woman who secretly belongs to an outside cult of people who feel (all from Zamiatin). When the movie got to the part where Bale finds he can't shoot the cute little puppy-dog he's holding in his hands I just said "that's it" and left.

Sorry for the rant, I realize this thread isn't for that. I just had to get it off my chest. PHEW!

The greatest crap masterpeice of all time for me, that I will never turn off when it comes on the tube, has to be "Private School for Girls" with Matthew Modine and Phoebe Cates.

Phoebe walks in slow motion out of a pool, dripping wet and Matthew dresses in drag to peeping tom in a girls dorm. What could be better! (oh yeah, tots of **** too) A classic!

Vision Quest baby!

Brings me back to the good old days

P.S. Fight Club is NOT a bad movie, I've seen it over 30 times and just finished the book yesterday. Chuck Palinhuk is witty, dark, and a pleasant change from most of the other main stream crap I've bothered to read.
