Got these today. The person at the counter has become quite familiar to me over the years I've done business at my local record store. He told me he always looks forward to the first jazz purchase of the day when he's working. Needless to say I was that first person today. I think we could both agree how sad it is that jazz is not a thing that is popular among music consumers today. He told me jazz is a thing that's very close to his heart and I told him we are the same there.

E.S.T. (Esbjörn Svensson Trio) - Seven Days of Falling

John Coltrane / Alice Coltrane - Cosmic Music

Sun Ra - Space Is the Place

My first Sun Ra CD actually for some reason. The clerk told me he once played Sun Ra at the store and a customer told him to shut it off. That made me laugh.

Adding this one here before I forget and since there were only three in this post. Saw it when it was coming out but forgot to check it out because of the forgettable artwork. Needless to say solid monaca:factory quality as always.

Well it isn't 5 albums, but for me it's enough to merit a post here. Both on vinyl, I got:

High Voltage by AC/DC. One of my all-time favorite albums, it appears to be an original 1976 pressing and the cover is in good condition, while the record is in pristine condition. Looks brand new. And next:

The Beatles White Album. Another all-time favorite, a 1968 Winchester, Virginia US pressing, numbered A2862950. The cover is intact and in fairly good shape, though the edges are split, but inside the records are in very good condition, clean, play well, and look almost new. Sadly no poster and pictures inside but I can't complain as I got both albums for a combined $20.

Gojira - From Mars to Sirius                                     Gojira - L'Enfant Sauvage

Genus/GZA - Liquid Swords                                       Gary Clark Jr. - Live

                  KoRn - Untouchables

Finally some new music!!! I am loving all of these, but surprisingly I am finding the KoRn album to be my least favorite out of these purchases. I am so happy to have picked up both of these Gojira albums. I saw them in concert this past Saturday with Mastodon and they were both amazing!!! I picked up these records that they had for sale at their booth and even bought a few shirts from them and Mastodon. Definitely a concert that will be memorable. :)
