The ICO soundtrack was actually composed by Michiru Oshima and Kōichi Yamazaki, with Oshima being responsible for the more melodic stuff and Yamazaki handling the darker, more ambient cues. I'm glad I went through the effort of re-ripping the soundtrack in lossless and scanning the artwork myself slightly over a year ago. The results over my old iTunes AAC rip with a quick Google image search album artwork are gorgeous.

My music collection lacks the first Ghost in the Shell soundtrack, only containing the OST for the second film. I should seriously go ahead and get it.

All i listen to is soundtracks and anything by Joe Hisaishi lol.

Yeah i knew that there where two composer for the ICO soundtrack, but i didn't know which songs belong to which person.

I was thinking of getting the Ghost in the Shell 2 ost but opted for the first one instead since i liked the melody for the chants in the first film slightly more than the second, and i have only seen the first Ghost in the shell film, so that swayed my decision slightly.

I also got the first Ghost in the Shell ost because i just had to have the random pop song that is included as a bonus track! (yes i know why its there, but its still pretty funny)

Is that Gojira, as in the Japanese name for Godzilla, or a random band name?

Yes apparently they had called themselves Godzilla until 2001 :)
