I am from Filand also, I think you should say Sami. Maybe its just me but i count only northen finland to lapland, but thats just me.

I havent heard about her at all, and norway is kinda distant from finland in the end.

You'd have to ask her what country she's from, she could be from Finland, Sweden, Norway or maybe even Russia. Lapland is that big. Maybe it's the language, since Sami is related to Finnish, but I always thought of the Sami as more Finnish then anything else. Ya know, from Finland but somehow they spilled into the other countries because they followed some pesky reindeers.

The kind of singing she's doing BTW is called joik.

Mike, you can see in my location below my avatar that I'm in Helsinki.

I'm American, but I've lived here for 5 years. I'm thinking that KJ869 has more experience at being Finnish than I do.

edit - My interest in Sami is because I'm Choctaw, sadly I don't look it, but most of my family on my mom's side are Choctaw, and my uncle was once on the Tribal Council. So native culture is kind of a part of my upbringing.
