When you look at threads about audiophilia obsession to help justify how you spent 500% more on a headphone thats only 10% better than the last one you had

Be sure to post about your Q701 when you get it Austin!

I will. I'm planning on doing a mid-fi comparison article here on Head-Fi. HD650 vs. Q701 vs. DT990 vs. ATH-AD1000 vs. other reccomendations. You know your an audiophile when you write too many reviews on Head-Fi.

Every parcel I've ever had the misfortune of having shipped by DHL arrived at least a day late, even when it actually arrived at their station early.

When you received the following items for Christmas:

Yuin PK2s
6x DMD acoustic panels & bass traps
Western Electric speaker wire
(The wire you received has asbestos in it but it's worth it for the SQ.)
And nothing else.

Happy Holidays!

when you do something like this to get a pair of headphones...

"So...I've really wanted to buy a Vmoda M80, especially after lots of time at home during the holidays. Open headphones are just not going to cut it at home!

And yet money is tight. So I found a discount ($20 off $175) at Radio Shack through a coupon site, utilized my old fat wallet account, and bought 9 (!) different gift cards online from ebay and other online sites (w/ amounts ranging from $10-30 and some including some weird balances). If all works out well, I should get it in a couple days for a total of $166.33. Not a huge savings...but its something!"

(Posted in the M80 appreciation thread as well but the more I thought about it...this is where it belongs.)

When you are 15, have a grand worth of audio equipment, have your shopping cart full of 300 more.

When you're 20, and have about $2000 worth of audio gear (half of that being in one pair of headphones), and looking to get that new amp you've been looking at.

Also, when you can't stop bitching about "how bad the mastering is on this album".
