I think some people are confusing evolutionary change with the evolution of mankind. Evolutionary change is a scientific fact that is irrefutable, because we can observe it in action, even in our own species. If you need examples, refer to your 9th grade biology book. Anyone who thinks that organisms do not evolve is either ignorant or stupid, and in my mind, those words are synonyms.
My personal opinion of the evolution of man is simply that we must have evolved in the same way that all other life on the planet has. We share a huge portion of our DNA with every organism, from the fruit fly to the chimpanzee. The ancestor we share with the fruit fly simply existed much, much longer ago than did our common ancestor with the chimpanzee.
I'm not saying anything they don't teach you in high school.
