I've had my first pair of decent headphones ever (Grado SR-80) for about a month now and I just wanted to comment on how quickly money seems to be draining out of my pocket. New Iriver pcdp, new meta42 portable amp, and now I'm looking seriously at a pair of HD-600's. Of course I know that eventually I'll want the Grado RS-1's so why not just buy them now and save myself the rush later? And how about one of those upsampling cd players? And of course, the tube amp is a must have. Rrrrrrr. Why couldn't I have remained my happy/ignorant former self? I think it's worth it though just to see the expressions of people in the library when I've got my Grados on.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself to the forums. Hello all. Yet another poor college student led astray by the wonders of headphones...

I join head-fi about a year ago to get ONE pair of headphones and an amp (for about $320 total). Now, not even one year later, I plan on spending ~1300 euros on a complete HP setup.

Ety ER-4P don't need an amp. a must have, really.

try looking in the For Sale forum, they show up from time to time. dont confuse these with the 4S, which DO need an amp.

i really love my 4S, but make sure you're comfortable putting sealed earplugs in your ears.
