option 1: a Little Dot II tube amp for $100 off ebay PLUS a portable sub-$200 amp.

option 2: a Headroom Micro with micro or desktop module for $300.

i don't own a tube amp...so i want to go with option 1 to get a taste of the tube amp sound. but if the headroom micro will sound better than the little dot, then i'll just skip option 1 and go straight to option 2. portability isn't a major concern...since i already have a small cmoy. what should i do?

why not give the Meier Corda Headfive a try? (it's at the top of the page). it should do well and cost only 250 shipped.
