Yet another sound card thread (DAL vs E-MU?)

Has anyone had an opportunity to do an in-depth comparison to a DAL CardDeluxe and the E-MU 1212m, or perhaps the 1820/m? I would like to move away from this sound card of mine, and am afraid to bite the Lynx22 or LynxTwo bullet - CardDeluxe runs hot as hell

Not that I've seen mentioned, but we compared some of the 1212m and RME Hammerfall to some high end CDPs at the last Socal meet and the E-MU stood up very well to the Meridian 508 we were testing it against.

What was the 1212m lacking in your opinion, versus the Meridian? Not that that helps me any, the only Meridian I have heard was a DVD player, the 800.

Sorry Jasper meant to say the E-Mu was better than the 508 and beaten by the 588.
