I got my replacement driver from Senn today for my 580's. I have not had these beauties working for a year, and now I welcome back that sweet, sweet sugary sound. Man I love the 580 and now I am remembering all over again why so much. It is like getting a new can.

On a side note, now I have to find a way to burn in this new driver. There is a ever so slight miss match between the 3 year old left driver and the spanking new right one. I can tell that they are a perfect match still with each other timber wise, it is just a little hint of more percieved volume and top end sparkle. I was thinking about unpluging the left side and just running the right side in down time. What do you all think?

Man been up all evening and no one wants to chime in on how to burn in a single driver?

looks like getting that driver back is the easy part, maybe you need to hook it up , on its own, to a cd player set to repeat indefinitely or something, preferably playing a cd-r with some generated noise recorded onto it... its been one year already, the extra time needed to burn that driver in wont make that much more of a difference will it?

No actualy it won't make that big of a differance IMO but I was curious to what others think. In fact I am going on 7 hours of listening to them today alone and they sound damn good.

If you already have hundreds of hours on the older driver I wouldnt worry too much about burning in the new one individually since the old one would be well burned in already. Unless you are worried about stressing the older driver out with your choice of burn in material/magnitude that is

I have never even heard of that amp but it sounds sweet. Check out my post about the meet in our thread.
