Hi all
I have a stello da100 dac and have made some xlr to RCA cables
I left pin 3 open and got no sound unless I unplugged one of the rca's from the amp(either one) then sound came out. Not sure why ?? Figured i did something wrong and pulled them apart and put a jumper on the left channel (had to go to wrk before I cld do the other) and they are working fine. Obviously right side sounds different.

I have looked all over the net and people say conflicting things over adding a jumper to the shield.

My question is do I just add another to the right side or remove the one on the left.

Or I have a phono grnd on my amp.. Do I take both shields and bang them into that

Any opinion is muchly appreciated

XLR=Pin1 ground, pin2 hot (plus), pin3 cold (minus). To rca 1 and 3 together is minus, 2 is plus hot. Make sure your gear allows balanced to unbalanced. Works both ways. RCA to XLR, XLR to RCA.
