Thanks, although I would prefer to try to get the modified main board (w. reverted sockets), following what 9u775 explained here: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/xduoo-xd05pro.964620/page-163#post-18205261
(when I have time left over to dedicate myself to it...)
For me it is impossible to order anything from TaoBao, they do not ship to EU countries... Sadly, USB4 Store is the only one from Aliexpress, that offers these additional op-amp boards and adapters for XD05PRO :frowning2: you can also order an original op-amp board straight from Xduoo (10$ for pcs + shipping).

I couldn’t find this on xduoo’s web site.
Email xduoo support. That’s how I obtained an alt. board to pair with more sensitive IEM’s.

This is the R2R DAC. Lots of outputs, which is pretty cool for the price. I'm almost tempted to try one.
In the meantime I also ordered these filters, which should help to further improve the holographic scene reconstruction effect.

In any case, as well as for this sweet external DAC, they can also be useful to use for the XD05 Pro itself (standalone); I will be able to tell you if I notice any appreciable improvements, enough to justify the expense.

Really interesting-looking products - thank you for sharing them.

I already have a HiBy RS6 DAP that has been modified by NP Audio in the UK. The R2R DAC in that device is excellent, and the amp section is significantly better since having it modified. Running the RS6 -> XD05 PRO via line-in is another great combination. My XD05 PRO is currently undergoing surgery though so it's likely to be several weeks before I can test further.

I actually find the Hiby RS2 a really nice and economical R2R source. LO to XD05Pro, and the output is sublime. And you still have various op amp options depending on your mood of the day....

My RS6 is now only used when I need to go outdoor, when it is not that practical to utilize the XD05Pro.
