Greetings. A newbie here. I have the xDuoo XD-05 two year old one with Burson V5i. Has anyone found a solution for the amp going into PROTECT mode while on high gain and Bass boost on? I have tried all possible solutions mentioned here.

The seller has both the V5i-s and V5i-d, bit confused, which one is recommended here for XD-05 Plus version, I am ok to buy both if that is required.

You need the dual version for the XD-05 (normal and plus).
    mrlobaloba and BroncoVA like this.
  4. mrlobaloba
Need only 1 or 2 of the duals.
  5. Mouseman
    You'll need 1 dual.

    Thank you.

So are there issues running the XD-05 in high gain with the Burson opamp, or this doesn't effect the Plus version, that will be a deal breaker for me as I bought the XD-05 Plus solely to drive my higher impedance headphones (300+ ohms), can someone knowledgeable about this confirm.

Anyone knows OP-AMP rolling has any benefit for the Aux In/Out port when I use it as Preamp???
  9. Mad Max
No, no benefit, the Aux out has an OPA1612 soldered in place, you'll need a solder iron to replace it. It's already a top-notch opamp anyway, not really worth the trouble unless you are very experienced with opamp rolling and know what may be an upgrade for your tastes in this circuit.

I have a Fiio A5 amp, will this give a better experience?

While AliExpress ain't the most reputable online store by any means, I just placed an order for 222.85 - 8 - 5 - 2 = $207.85 with the slowest free shipping option here

(A separate page for XD-05 with a lower price, therefore I wasn't making a mistake or anything like that)

$8 (maximum for $199 products) from stacking four $2 coupons that were unlimited during their 12.12 promotion, $5 was an instant discount from the seller, finally another $2 could be found below

I got my order in right before their sale was over, thankfully I didn't miss the boat. Also bought this thingy during another 12.12 sale since all feedback seemed to be overwhelmingly positive

Kinda silly to pay so much for that stuff since it's costing even more than XD-05 Plus itself, though I could still use JL1973 with XD-05 Pro when it's available in early 2020.

Hi guys , I'm planning on buying the XD-05+.
But I find a used chord mojo first gen with same price. I have question,
1.Which one have bigger power output? Need to drive my ath r70x with 470ohm and 98dB. (05+ VS mojo)
2.on the xduoo official website , it's written that they have new updated version of this XD
-05+, how to spot the difference between new version and old version? Thx :D

Based on your post, is xduoo will release "pro" version of xd-05 on early of this year? I can wait for the pro version if it's on Q1 2019 :)

They're showing their latest version of XD-05 Plus in black recently, and then there's also another one with blue volume knob

They already talked about XD-05 Pro a long time ago
