Hi all,
as a very enthusiast Xduoo fan (have the X1, X2 and X3....not the X10), i'm more than intrigued about the new Nano D3 that just lauch a month ago because (among other thing) the battery life look incredible, it can play up to 192Khz FLAC and have a line out, a 4K screen and promising impendance, so let's share impressions and info here so this player can be well explained for thos who are curious about it like myself that will surely order it.

Find an unboxing video. Look like a little bigger than X2. And as always, construction look top notch:)

Isn't it a little suspicious they aren't listing what dac its using? Also isn't 20 hours with a 20mah battery unlikely?

The specs say 900mah- Fiio M3 has less output power but gets 20+ hours from a 500mAH battery, so I think it's plausible.

Suspicious, I don't think so, Xduoo X1 and X2 doesnt have branded DAC chip and sound quite good....I will try to get more info about this and share it, but perhaps they just don't wanna say there secret as its an integrated DAC.

Soundsignature is warm and musical, cannot have more info about this...while share some once I receive it in about a week.

By the way....Xduoo look quite on fire and work on other DAP too, still in process, but its very exciting to know there company team is on FIRE!:fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire:

Unlike Xduoo’s previous music player, there are five important things for D3,

  • Support DSD256
  • 2.0’’ HD IPS screen, 240*320 resolution
  • 8GB built-in memory ( there is no memory in Xduoo X2, X3 and X10)
  • EQ setting (not found in X3)
  • Gapless playback

I'll argue that there are 4 things because you didn't list gapless playback.

[SOAPBOX]
I don't care if the typical Chinese consumer only listens to songs because I listen to albums, beginning to end. And so many between live music, classical music and albums that are 1 long piece with reference points marked as tracks all of which need gapless playback. And I don't want to be told that I have the option of ripping these 'special' types of music as 1 long single track and creating a .cue sheet.

I'm 100% with you with gapless need, for classical, I use whole ripped album in one FLAC file.
Make 5 things in fact. If you find more tell me:wink:

Am really interested in this player after being in the X3 thread. However i feel that a rockboxed X3 might be hard to beat and its unbelievable that the price point is so much cheaper with a coloured screen, has longer battery life, better SQ.

It just sounds too good to be true but am staying here until TS gets the player. Somebody just got to bite the bullet i guess xD

Yeah, waiting will be long....minimum one week for me...will begin sharing first day I receive for sure:wink: I see it as a X2 with real screen, longer battery life and real line out. Sound expectation aren't as high as X3 cause ''theorically'' its 30$ cheaper, I guess the starting price will go lower while time pass, as with near all chinese DAP (Ibasso DX90 is like the only exception, perhaps cause it have a changeable battery that give him long life span).

I think 2018 year will be the XDUOO one, other products should come out. I'm a real faithfull collector of their product, following them since the begining in DAP market: X1, X2, X3, D3 and perhaps X10 (see it at very low price)....

Keep an eye open bro!

I have a RockBoxed X3, and it seems that there is no difference whatsoever between Headphone Out and Line Out ports. There is no setting to override the volume setting for Line Out. This is not really a big deal, but am I missing something (I mean besides opposable thumbs)?

Otherwise, I really like the device!!!!

I'd argue there are still only 4 things after gapless was listed because DSD is just a marketing acronym :p

Well said!

Is the status of gapless as a feature of D3 confirmed one way or another?
