XBi vs UM1

I just got a XBi and i was disappointed....

UM1 beats it in everything (literally)
Much better soundstage, tigher bass
There's no high/mids in the XBi just crazy bloated bass.

I pretty much could have told you that without having heard the XBis. The UM1s are easily the best IEM in their range, I'd say.

I've heard the XBi, I think it's horrible, at least iBuds are more balanced.

X3i are much closer to UM1 though.

I have a X3,XB,XBi,UM1,E500

XBi is the hardest to listen to out of 5...

yeah, i'd say you picked the wrong one of the mylar bunch, the rest are much better - it's almost like a different production company altogether or something.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that, after all there are probably differences in taste.

Glad that I'm hearing praise for the UM1's, makes it more justified in my mind for me to spend quite alot (for me) on headphones when I order a set in a matter of days.
