hi guys,
im now owning Fiio X5 MK3 as my source gear..
my headphone now is Meze 99 Classic and Allesandro Ms2i..
the 99 classic for office use and ms21 for home use due to the sound leakage ( i listen loud )
back to the discussion.. im looking for something more (if any) out of my cans..
perhaps little touch of good amp on top of my lovely sounding X5 MK3.. i want portable as more mobility..
eyeing at ifi micro idsd ( the complicated hardware filtering seems nice ) or ifi nano ican..
the reason that this 2 came up is because of the 1/8" ( 6.5mm ) out option.. beneficial for my ms2i..
i dont plan to mod the cable yet as the original stock cable seems solid ( the thickness is so .... )
i like to assume the incredible sound contributed by the cable as well.. (FYI i like the MS2i more than the 99 classic)
6.5mm to 3.5mm adapter feel fragile and seems damaging the DAP (or any other) 3.5mm port by time..
but after few consideration.. since the ifi or any other DAC/AMP is cabale processing hi-res file.. so i was thinking to ditch the X5 as well and use phone instead so that i dont have to carry extra gear with me..
does consideration make sense? or keeping the X5 to pair with the ifi is better SQ compare to ifi plus iphone6?
