X-Mod v/s Sound Blaster USB Live! ...Sound quality

Hi guys,


some sale is going on for Creative and thot i would take some advantage and finally get smthg to enhance laptop sound.


XMod has advantage that it ll work with my iPod also but it is NOT a soundcard.

And Sound Blaster USB Live is just PERFECT...but i havent found a Single review of them.


Could someone point out is SB USB Live even worth buying or it has issues?

It's cheap and USB powered... Like the XMod, it's probably not good.

I'm in the same boat as you.....the demos on creatives site certainly sound pretty good.......

USB is my only option as i have laptops and i travel.

But how bad is it?

Sale is going on and its selling for $56.

and XMod for around $70-75.

worth buying anyone of them?

Take your pick... The Sound Blaster Live! has support for 5.1 surround while the Xmod is smaller and meant for two-channel. Regarding SQ, they're probably about the same.
