I have both SR80's and E2's, and want to try something more on the high end. The E2's are great when out and about or working out, or while in bed, and the grado's are awesome for rock, but neither seem to work well with movies or games. The Grado's also are difficult to listen to with something like My bloody valentine. I guess I'm looking for something with a bigger soundstage, more laid back than the grado's, and more detailed than the shure's. So if anybody in the Chicago area is looking to get rid of a pair of sennheiser HD580/590/600, AKG K501/271, beyer DT531/250/860, Audio Technica A700/900, I'm most interested in the HD580's, K271's, DT531's, Dt860's, and A900's.
The monitor is an Hitachi CM801U. It's great if you like games and movies, but not so great if you don't have much space.
