Aw dang it. I just can't seem to get my hands on a decent Westone.

Anyways, if you don't mind me asking, how much does the UM3x differ from the IE80 in terms of sound? I've got the Ie80s myself but have never heard any Westones however my curiosity is steering me there.

It's very different.

Ie80 is a dynamic driver iem, um3x is ba. I like the sound of ie80's bass response and sound presentation, while un3x is clearer in vocals.

You legend. Have you had the chance to try the 4R? If so, is it really as good as the hype suggests? I always see the 4R being treated like its an IEM god but never have heard them myself either.

And would you by any chance be tempted by an offer of an HD598 + UE600 or is that attempt going to be met with failure? :p
