I'm currently looking for a pair of Sennheiser HEV60 (Baby Orpheus) headphones (preferably sans amplifier). I'm offering $500 + a $30 finder's fee if you can point me in the directions of a pair that I end up buying. (highly likely)

Yep. The Eagle board layout is currently at version 0.6...

Oh, and I think I've found some cheap test headphones...

Wow. Cheap and orpheus in the same sentence. Who'd a thunk it?

Have you tried calling sennheiser? Maybe they could help you out?

Well, the cheap wasn't referring to the (baby) Orpheii...

And I haven't tried calling Sennheiser, but I really doubt they could help, especially at my price range!

Have you check these out, they look like the SR40's.

Well, they're electrets, not electrostatic... (electret == no bias voltage) They're a pretty distant "second choice" option.

But I wonder if I need a "testing" headphone at all... reading some articles on HW makes me think ES headphones are pretty damn tough, electrically speaking...

Kabump. Also I just bought some Stax Lambda Basics off eBay so I'm just looking for the Baby O's now.

Yes, that's exactly what I was looking for. I've emailed the seller to inquire about getting just the headphones (in order that it would better match my budget. If we manage to strike a deal, guess what? YOU TOO could win your gen-you-wine $30 finder's fee for just $39.95 shipping AND handling! Yes, you heard that right! We're practically GIVING away this once in a lifetime deal!

Seriously, though, if I end up getting the 'phones, I do plan to honor the $30 finder's fee - do you want cash, USPS money order, or paypal?

Nice to know it is the stuff, buddy!
As to the fees, just keep it and buy some beer while you listen to the headphone. A gift!

Unfortunately, by the time I'd gotten the seller down to something approaching my price range and raised the extra money, the headphones were sold to someone else. Grr.

Still looking... Offering $600...
