Hey y'all. I'm considering buying a cmoy in an altoids tin for my Senn PX100's & Beyer DT-880's. Is there anything I should be looking for? I'm a newbie and don't know much about this stuff...
Anyway, I'd like to have a reputable builder make me one. I do not want to bid on eBay or anything like that. No games! I'd like to spend in the $60. range. Yes, I will need a mini-to-mini cable as well (I know a lot of you DIY'ers make cables, too), if you can swing it. Of course, I know that will cost more (but no more than $15.-$20.)
To tell the truth, the cmoy may even be used more with the Senn's than the Beyers, if that makes a difference...
Thanks!!!

To start: A CMOY is not a mint. A mint is another amp all together. "Meta 42 in a tin".

Second, the standard CMOY layout does not use a rail splitter, and the opamp used will vary from builder to builder.

My Guzzler G-moy is basically a cmoy with a rail splitter. Good little amp. Sounds best with burr brown OP amps. Might want to seek one of those out.
