Hey, I think my He-400's lack just a tad bit in the treble region. I read that the HE-500 has a bit more treble. So, I'm looking to buy a pair.

I'm looking at 500 + Shipping but am totally willing to negotiate.

Condition is not really an issue, as long as they have the hard case. No hard case, no deal.

Save yourself the trouble. The HE-500s aren't more trebley than the HE-400s. They have have less treble actually which makes the headphone more bearable than the HE-400. The HE-400 has an annoying sharp S sound in the 8k region. That is missing in the HE-500 and actually takes a back seat. A lot of the treble is missing from the He-500...even a bit more than I'd like..so IMO you'd be downgrading if treble is your goal. You'd be better off getting an HD700/800 instead.

I'm still gonna give it a shot it seams as though more people say that the He5x series has more treble so we shall see

Go for it. Just letting you know since a lot of people comment on headphones they haven't heard because of a review they read or word of mouth. The HE-500s have better mids including the upper mid range, but as far as 8k+ is concerned, it's held back in the treble which makes it more enjoyable to listen to than the HE-400s. The HE-400s make you cringe and the HE-500s don't. That's the largest difference between them. You hear symbols and drums much more on HE-400s than you do on HE-500s.
 
Just giving you my opinion as someone that owns both and heard them back to back.
