EI KT 90 Type 3 wanted--quad please. I have one quad and need an octet.

Also interested in Svetlana Winged C from before 2002. 6550 or 6l6GC.

I have perfect octets of JJ EL34 and SED EL34 that I can trade, if you prefer.

Thanks.

are you still looking for the ei kt90 tubes? I have an octet I bought years ago for a pair of cj premier 11's and I didn't really like them. Hence they have very few hours on them. I'll probably sell them on ebay, but I thought I'd give a fellow head-fi'er first crack at them.

Funny, I never would have expected a reply from here--goes to show.

I did source a matched Octet. I just put them in my Music Reference RM9-MK2 (did not like them in Quicksilver M-60 or another DIY amp). I have been a long standing (I thought die hard from my MV-52) EL34 guy. the Music Reference is quite warm (not as warm as older CJ--a brand I really respect in every way), and there are warm 6DJ8 types, so lately I have been experimenting with KT88 and 6550 types, and these.

By optimizing with the driver tubes (I have a big collection--not through yet), I am still undecided whether I like these. They have a powerful sound, GREAT extension. If I can quell the brightness, they may be a keeper.

Nice of you to ask, I must say.

PM me, or call.

Mel
