im looking for one of the cheap cassette to stereo mini plug things. i can buy one locally for around $10, so if you have one lying around i'd be interested. i was hoping to spend maybe $5 total.

Zip. You can pick one up at a local tag sale for a buck or two these days. Almost as good as getting an USB charger for $4.50.
