Wouldn't it be easier to send Jan an email and ask for the specifics of the charger than go to the nearest electronics shop with the specifics and amp and ask for a fitting charger...?

probably. nothing here short of a 20 minute drive though and the weather is insane. i'd rather wait and find someone i can throw 10 bucks to or whatever to put one of these in the mail than go out for an hour of snowhell. would also ensure i get exactly what i need rather than pick up the wrong thing by mistake, and i'm marginally stupid enough for that to raise concern.
