Wow, e888lps are awesome (after 20hrs + )

Had these cans burning in for 20+ hours and just listened to some classic Bowie + Velvet underground tracks , all i can say is wow, they make voices sound soooo warm and i have a good level of base now (bit tinny straight out of the box)anyway i have heard of e888lp mods (duncans paper mod?) can soneone tell me what mods are worthwhile and how to do them.

Iremember I liked 'em a lot ,if i remember well they have a very "soft" and natural tonal behavior and they're quite detailed too

Yes, these can sound great. I had them a few years ago and they only get better with burn in.

The only mod I did was rip the plastic covers off and then glue on foam to make them fit better.

The one drawback is that not all E888's are created equally. I have tried two pairs in the last couple of years but I could not reproduce the sound I had on my originals. I ended up giving up and moving on to something else.
