Would the Ultimate Ears le 11 pros be wasted if played through this setup?

Or would this set up not allow them to shine? (this set up because im going portable)

Sounds good (no pun intended). If you don't have a line-out cable yet, PM Head-Fi member stevenkelby. He can make you cables that are stellar quality (that of ALO, and arguably better), and in addition he can make a USB charging port in it; something ALO does not do.

Certainly not wasted, in fact I'm sure they will sound very good. Of course the sound could be improved upon especially in a non-portable rig, but it will be a pretty sweet portable rig.

TheMarchingMule- What do you mean by putting a USB charging port into the LOD? Does it charge the iPod while playing music through the Line Out?

I have a 3g Nano and a Tomahawk with UE11's and am very happy with it. I'm just waiting for my LOD to finish it off.

Yes indeed, and from my experience, there is nothing added into the sound when it is charging (i.e. electrical humming). Y'know those mini-USB outputs, like the one in the Pico and Predator? It's the exact same thing in the dock, and you just have to plug the USB outlet into either a computer USB port (never tried it, but I don't see why it shouldn't work, it's just current), or into something like the Apple USB block.

UE11s wouldn't be wasted coming upamped from a shuffle, so that will surely be fine.

I'll swap out the tomahawk for the Predator. It has a little bit better sound that the UE11 Pros derves.
