...since shipping to Canada for a 1/2 pound package costs $13 + unknown duties

I'll pay the extra shipping costs to you, shipping to me, paypal fees, etc... it'll probably end up being $5 =__=;

Are you serious? Spend the extra $5 yourself instead of wasting someone elses time shipping the stuff to you. Just so you know it will not be much cheaper either. You will not get charged duty fees from mouser. You are willing to wait this long for someone to reply/make the order/wait twice as long for shipping and you can't go out and make the extra $5 to pay for this?

Yes, it will. Shipping to the US costs ~$5. Add my stuff and the weight increase by one pound, at the very most; a $.5 increase? Shipping to Canada will be $2 or so if you stuff it in an envelope.

I also don't have a credit card, so this would solve that problem as well.

If you're that effing cheap, enjoy waiting a month to get your parts. So you are looking for someone to order parts for you, pay the shipping, re-package everything for you and then go to the post office and send it...for free?(I know you were going to pay for shipping to you but what do they get out of the deal?) If you can't afford to pay an extra $5-10 for shipping you should get out of this hobby. And again about the duty fees, have you ever ordered from mouser. NO! Have I? YES! Did I get charged duties? NO!!!

Enjoy!

Ordering from mouser to Canada really sucks. Unless you're going for absolute maximum military grade resistors and capacitors and whatnot, you're going to get ripped off. 15 cents per resistor is overcharging. The most you should be charged is 5 cents per 1/4w 1%. That, and they only ship by UPSCA, which is $12 CAD minimum.

As for the paypal thing, maybe your parents won't let you have a credit card, but do you have a bank account? I've got a CIBC bank account and it hooked up very easily to paypal. Without a credit card entered as backup source, each transfer takes about 5 days, but with a credit card, transfers are isntant and the money is taken out of your bank later.

Sinbios,

Paypal has a "virtual debit card" or credit card that you can access from your paypal account under "send money" i think, unless they removed it. It pretty much just gives you a card number, exp date, security code, etc incase you dont have a card.

Lil_jv...calm down, not everyone helps someone else out for a reward, some do it just because. He was merely asking for help not some immature and insulting replies. $5-$10 dollars doesnt grow on trees, so what if he wants to save a few extra bucks?

Ivan,
I was thinking the same thing but a quick check at Paypal dot com says:

The PayPal Debit Bar is available to users who:
*Have a Domestic PayPal account

And

Yeah... my friends keep telling me about it, but it never appears in my account. Maybe some time in the future, Paypal will add the function to Canadian accounts as well!

MisterX: thanks for the link!

Well, A member of this comunity ordered, received, packed and send components to build some amps and I paid the parts plus shipping costs plus fees. He didn't charge me for his work!!! He even gave me some adivise about it!!!! One of the things that makes head-fi a great forum and comunity is that some members really like to help others! I know this is off topic but...

My 0.02 cents
