Thats what i have but there is no frequency chart for the DT770 so im not sure how it compairs to the charts. Ive sent headroom a few e-mails to see if they are going to test more headphones using the dummy head. I hope they test more, would be cool to see some of these other cans i have HP170 and the labtec 840

They can only test headphones they have. They have said that if you send your headphones in they will test them. You pay shipping there, they pay shipping back.

EDIT: Typo

I've compared the DT990 Pro to my own DT770 Pro, and they are definitely related.

I really like the DT990 (when properly amped), it got a fabulous bass and a smooth midrange. The highs might be too much for some overly bright systems, but on my MAD Ear++ tube amp, it sounded excellent.

The bass isn't as subwoofer-like as the DT770, but is deeper than most phones. The overall sound is more balanced than the DT770, also warm and full.

I like'em.

You're relying way too much on these frequency response charts to get a sense of what these headphones sound like. When it comes down to it, the only real way to know what they sound like and make determinations such as ones that you've made in starting this thread, is to actually audition headphones.

Yes, auditioning is a must, look for meets in your local area.

I thought the DT990 was much better in the bass than the K240S, having more and better bass.

And to my ears, the DT990Pro/250 has more (and the DT770Pro/250 even more), while the K240S has better bass. Now figure...

I don't know what kind of ears I have, because the 990's I had were very soft in the bass, whereas the DT250-80's and the AKG 271 Studio's had TONS of bass. I would not think the 990's were phones for bassheads.
