Would I be correct with this chain?

Hey guys. I am looking to run headphones from my Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo. I currently have a Spinbase, which does not drive headphones well at all, even my X2HR.

So, my question is about how to run the signal. I think I need to go for. The turntable to a phono preamp to a headphone amp to the spinbase. Does that sound right?

I assume I cant run the turntable straight to the headphone amp and call it good.

I’m looking at stuff from Schiit and maybe some Hifiman cans.

Thoughts?

Yes, that setup sounds correct. You will need a phono preamp before the headphone amp, as they usually don't have one built in.
You need to get a head amp that has pre outs, so you can connect these to the Spinbase.
Then you should be all good
