Would digital coax or toslink-to-toslink be better with Chaintech Av710 -> DAC -> AMP

Which one would be the best quality? I will be connecting it to a Beresford TC7510 -> Little Dot MKIII.

I tried searching but couldn't find a definite answer.

thanks!

AFAIK the AV710 only outputs via toslink. So in order to use coax you have to use a conversion cable. And as with most conversions, they are bad...

But seriously, unless you are using a cable that's 200 feet +, I would not worry about any difference at all

The chaintech has an S/PDIF output

So the quality is very similar? Good to know.. thanks

no difference at all in normal conditions up to 10ft. if you need a longer run, or if you have crazy rf nearby (or you're hoarding a cache of gravitons in your back yard that's altering trajectories of cosmic rays to your house

) then optical is the better route. they're more fragile than coaxial cables though.
