Would anyone be interested in a Benchmark DAC1 group buy?

$975 is a tad bit more than I want to shell out for one of these...but there is no doubt that I want one badly and will have one at some point...even if it means waiting for a beat up used one for $600 or somehthing.

Meanwhile I though , how about getting a group buy together....I have no idea what Benchmark could swing but so this is just a wild stab.

I was thinking like if 30+ units could be spoken for then maybe something liek $700 ea or maybe even better?

Anyhow , just a though.

$966 each sound better? You are right, there must be at least $700 in parts alone on the DAC1.

1. You aren't going to get 30 people.

2. Benchmark makes pro equipment, they are used to selling in quantity.

I could see you getting $900 or so per unit for 10 from a dealer but anything more than that might be too ambitious. If you get it down to $600 though let me know, I could get a second one and mount them together in a rack, then I just need to get Mikhail to build me a rack mounted supra.

If Benchmark's dealer network is setup like most audio companies, what you're proposing is a violation of distribution policy. Good luck though.
