Would an extension cord affect the sound of the D66 Eggos?

I may be in the market for a set of "domestic" cans, but may prefer to get a set of D66's. Already owning the D22's, I know how well these Sony portable headphones perform, and I might be inclined to have the "big brother" D66's as my home set-up hadphones, despite the fact they are dsigned for portable use.

Would a 25-foot extension cord affect the sound in any way? The short-cord plus extension is not long enough for my domestic needs.

HI: I got a 6 foot extention at rat shack with both ends gold plated and it sounds very good. It is a mini to mini end straight. It was also not that expensive. I think the Eggo D66 would make a good home main can for what it cost.

I also have this same 6 foot extension for my eggo's as well as a 20 foot extention that ends with a female 1/4". I just use the adapter that came with the eggo's. Maybe I dont have a great ear but I cant really tell a diff when I use either extension.

Just what I was hoping.......I have to decide if my "home" cans would be better served if they had dual-entry cords or the arrangement like the D66's. The other headphone(s) under consideration are the V6/7506's and the Beyerdynamic DT 831's.
