As the title says, i was wondereing if i connect the coaxial output of my NAD C525BEE to a MicroDAC and than to my Mapletree Ear+ Purist HD2 would improve the sound quality of the system?
I know i could get better DACs which would definetly improve the sound, but i'm getting a MicroDAC once i got a Iriver H120 and i want a USB DAC to use it with my laptop ...
Thanks in advance guys, epaludo !!!!!!

My guess is yes, but I could be wrong. You'll find out once you get your MicroDAC!

I think you will be disappointed. at least you get 30day to return the DAC if you don't like it.

I think you'll find the sound quality difference to be much smaller than you're expecting, and that it'll be more of a "side-step" in sound quality (a different take on the sound) rather than a direct upgrade. I haven't heard the Micro DAC, but relative SQ improvements really start to diminish as you scale up, and I wouldn't be surprised if a budget (relatively speaking) portable DAC didn't directly improve the SQ of your rig.

I know that a Zapfiltered D2.5C certainly improves on the sound of a C521BEE.
Without zapfilter the differences are less obvious, but they are there.
