I have always wanted the Hifiman HE-500s but a couple years ago I got the HE-400s due to budgetary constraints. Now that finances are better and prices have come down quite a lot since the newer models have been released I am still thinking of making the switch. Before I do anything impulsive, do you guys think the upgrade is worth it? I'm currently running from a Macbook Pro > Apogee Duet 2 for both DAC and amp although I'm also in the process of purchasing a Garage1217 Polaris.
