Its an opportunity to make a lot of money but could very well be a waste of time and money... just check online reviews. I trust head-fi members I think... any experiences?

These guys are still around? They came through my campus in the early 90's trying to recruit people. I talked to them but never got any straight answers, then they wanted money for training or something.

You don't ask for money from employees. Ever. If anyone offers you a job and then asks for money, it's a scam. Same if they want you to buy inventory to sell.

Here's how the scam works: they talk you into paying training fees, security fees, stocking a certain amount of merchandise, something along those lines.

What they don't tell you is that the person recruiting you is getting a big cut of what you pay.

Usually when you train to a "management" level (to the tune of high three to four figures) you are clued into the secret. That is that there is little money to be made selling stuff or signing people up for long distance, etc. The actual money is made by hosting recruitment parties and getting a fat slice of "training" fees. When people wash out of the sales aspect, they're conveniently told that they didn't try hard enough or didn't follow the program.

So don't bother. The guy soliciting you is just trying to get you to pay him a training fee and will expect you to push products/services on your friends and family. It's not worth it.

It was a letter in the mail - I think I am going to pass it up unless I can't find another good job in which case I will try it out.
