I recently visited Uncle Wilson in Singapore and I was given a prototype woody IEM by him to give a listen to it.

Under Mylar series too? This will be the 2nd woody i know beside JVC FX500. Hopefully the SQ at least on par and it's a bass iem, might get one for backup haha

man I don't see how people consider a rig portable when you add a v-cap dock lol it won't even fit in your pocket or a normal bag at that point

I wonder how much the material can really affect the sound. I mean on woodies like the darths and senns, I can imagine the wood impacting the sound, but for an IEM -- at that point its just for looks right? If its not then I might just go buy some cheap jvc's and see if I could mod those.

oh im interested, i was jsut cruising headphone.com and i saw these featured. i did compare them (frequency chart etc) to skullcandy smokin buds, and according to that they just seem like they have a warmer low end (maybe the wood does have a role) but i am still kind of interested to hear about them, even though smokin buds arent that good

I am pretty sure you have mistaken the Woodees (which is featured on HeadRoom) with the those in first post. They are CrossRoads Woody.
