Have received some photos of my Headphile recabled/woodied HF1s which are winging their way back to the UK.

Can't wait to try them so I've posted the pics for now as an appetiser both for me and for those who will no doubt ask how they sound.

Hi Steve.

Very lovely!!!

Been thinking about sending mine to Larry. How long has it taken so far from the UK?

Cheers,

Pete.

Too long

I now send Airsure which takes abput a week to get there and when Larry sends back it's normally 3-4 days.

But my MS2is went into a limbo and took almost 3 weeks to get from UK to Headphile so I'm not a good example of turnaround time - I'm jinxed.

Are those slightly deeper than the normal? Maybe it's just the picture angles.

I hope you enjoy....they are fantastic.

Yesterday, I was listening to the Eagles "Hotel California" and I was amazed by the depth and quality of the represented bass....and the fact that there's a low double bass note on the left channel that occurs during the chorus.

I've heard that tune literally 1000's of times, but never heard that before until the HF-1 revealed it. I love it when that happens!

They are a bit deeper, it's the wood type which dictates this apparently.

These are Paduak, 2" Black Headband, 2m blackmax cable upgrade with blacksilver flex to the 'y' splitter and wood plug/splitter.

My choice as I like the more firmer cables (ala Zu Mobius on my HD650s).

I think I'm going to have to upgrade my headphone stands as well!
