i´ve got a pair russian 1578/6N8S from the Ukraine. Unique development for nuclear stations and military planes. They never was on free sale.
At the moment they are on the amp to burn-in, too. I am looking forward to compare them to the EH 6SN7.

I have heard of those. Should be interesting. Time for some Tungsol Black Glass 6SN7's.

Congratulations on a fine amp. The Woo 5 is refined. The great thing about it is that tube shopping is fun because there are so many available tubes that can easily be found. There's a boat load of the 6sn7 tubes out there on ebay and tube dealers. You also have a lot of 5u4g tubes out there as well. The 300 B tubes choices are great too. Which ever tubes you choose and play around with, you will have fun with this amp. This is a great amp that should give you a life time of listening pleasure brotha!

If you would like to get an offer for the same Amp, please call Jack Woo.
He is a real nice guy and could help you with this question. But it will be over $ 6K incl. shipping.

Best

Quite a lot. Especially considering that a stock WA5-LE is $2,400.
But it sure is a stunning amplifier, with top components, so I don't question that its worth it. Enjoy!

Shipping to Germany from the USA probably cost an arm and a leg, but it's still a tremendous difference in price from stock.
