Hi guys,

I'm just wondering if it's a norm to just not reply or ignore PM's about inquiries or answers that do not interest the other party.
Example:
I PM the member about a particular sale or trade item but it goes unanswered

or

I get PM about my sale item, I reply with the response and then it just goes silent

Maybe it's just me but I do find it rather rude to not conclude the conversation even if you're not interested.

Apologies, had to rant a little, the lockdown and pandemic is getting to me.

I try to treat PMs just like i'm having a conversation. It would be rude to not reply to someone that spoke to me and asked a question, and it would be rude to walk away from someone I was holding a conversation with unless I ended it.

I also like to give people the benefit of the doubt when they don't respond to a PM. Perhaps they didn't notice, got busy, or had a debilitating stroke that prevented them from replying.

There are all sorts of reasons why you don't always get a reply, you get used to it especially when you're buying/selling stuff. When you're selling people usually become more business like as they're worried they could be taken advantage off if too friendly.

Don't try and work people out mate not worth bothering about.

I've had many non-replies over the last ten years. Its normal for some people to not reply if they aren't going to push forward with a sale. Others don't frequent forums enough and don't realize they have been messaged until logging in way later (I've been guilty of this).
