The Sr40 is still too big in my opinion to be a true portable. Same with the SR60, 80,125,etc. They should make a true portable like the PortaPro or the KSC35.
Wonder why Grado doesn't make a portable?

if they make a min/portable verson of grado headphones and keep the same design, i would soo buy one

yeah.. mr. grado said that he won't even consider closed headphones (i asked).. he says...

Yes and no. Yes in that it's lightweight and not very expensive. No in that it isn't very small and can't be carried in your pocket.
