The Sr40 is still too big in my opinion to be a true portable. Same with the SR60, 80,125,etc. They should make a true portable like the PortaPro or the KSC35.

I think they are pretty much firm on their headphone design
You notice that all are of the same design. Maybe they believe it looks classy and stylish!

maybe so, but like profingersk8er said, if they were to make a mini version, that would be AWESOME. oh man, if they were the size of the senn PX series or the koss portas, but still looked like grados with the swivelling rod design, a vinyl wrapped headband, and smaller earcups... that would be so cool. make sure they have the SR60 drivers (if they would fit in a smaller earcup)! i'd buy a pair.

Yes, i'd be ready and waiting to buy a pair

No wooden chambers though... they'd start sprouting leaves in the humidity of some places...

yeah.. mr. grado said that he won't even consider closed headphones (i asked).. he says...

"sorry, all of our headphones are open ear design because the sound is so greatly improved over closed ear cans. we simply sound better.
thanks.
regards,
grado labs."

The sr40's and sr60's are what they consider portable.

lol, yea, unfortunately. but would there really be a market for such a portable can? i mean, WE would buy it of course, but anti-headphone audiophiles wouldn't buy em; they wouldn't bother since they would likely already have one pair of nice cans that they dont use; they couldn't justify it to themselves. and i'm not sure if grado would have the resources to put such a product out on a mass scale, because you'd have to sell something like this at big chain stores as opposed to niche audio shops if you want it to do well.

just for the record though, i think that the retro styling would go over well if it were to be released in mass quantities.
