Auction I won I really wanted just the 570's but I wonder if the pads for the Sony's are replaceable? The Optimus' are bound to be decent as they are rebadged Koss. Jeez I need a special rack for all my cans.

Nice job on that. If i were more flush with cash you'd be cursing my sniping software right now, but I'd get less enjoyment out of that pile than you will. So it's all good.

Yes, you can get new pads for the V6. It's actually fairly popular to replace them with Beyerdyamic DT-250 pads, which are velours. Should cost about $25-$30.

But a special headphone rack you say?

I was gonna question your sanity and then glanced at the overflowing box full of gallon ziplock bags, each containing 1 pair of headphones, not 10 feet from me.

So I'm gonna ask how to find the hook you're using. Where'd ya get that hook, and what's it called?

lol!! OMG, awesome headphone rack! I remember months ago you had them all in just a giant (seemingly messy) pile. Bravo!

Wow I like the ones on the Top row are they the 501's or variations?

And good to know about the Beyer pads Velour is much superior to pleather in my experience.

do you own a shop or something?

I could be wrong, but I believe what Fitz is getting at is that because he owns so many AKG headphones, AKG has demanded that he put up a dealer sign in his closet. Just to keep everything on the up-and-up. However, I will not put words into Fitz' mouth, that's just how I took his quite humerous statement.

To Fitz: A very impressive display, sir. Quite enjoyable and, dare I say, pleasing to the eye. I imagine that the pile of items at the bottom are AKG parts, yes?

that's what i thought too... but it's hard to tell over the internet...

that and it would be a plausible explanation as to the source of his sign

Yes. I do not joke around about AKGs. They did not specify where I had to display it, so I put it in my closet at home.

The bottom is partially whole headphones, and partially incomplete headphones that I took parts from. I use the metal briefcases that come with AKG microphones to store my actual loose parts.

I should sort the bottom shelf sometime, I think if I sold the extra phones I could make several hundred dollars very quickly. Sometimes I accidentally buy the same headphone two or three times, because I forget that I already bought one and it is just waiting in the slow international mail.
