I am going to meet them tomorrow for about half an hour and need to know some questions to ask them. Anyone know anything about this band, or just have any good questions in general to ask a semi-famous rock band who writes about the end of the world by robots?

That should be fun. I love Grandaddy! Have you ever seen the video for "The Crystal Lake"? What a great song! Maybe you could ask them where the crystal lake is or what it represents? The video has them flying through the sky in an old wooden cabin until they come down in San Francisco and then they step out kind of like a band of Dr. Who's dressed in their flannel shirts into the streets of SF and are soon rowing down those streets checking out the sights.
