I've been having this problem with Windows 7 WMP 12.
Whenever I use the equalizer to boost the bass, it automatically auto-levels the song, which ends up under powering all sounds so the bass is more present, but not very loud. Also, on climatic moments in orchestral pieces, it does the same thing even when the amount of bass is minimal. This problem doesn't happen if I pre-equalize the song in audacity, but I don't feel like equalizing my entire song library in audacity.
This doesn't occur in Windows XP Mode using WMP 11, but it still happens in WMP 11 in Windows 7.
Any help would be wonderful
