I have been spending a LOT of time reading at all the possible reviews and the best I could do is to narrow just a little the initial list.
I am looking for some headphones for my Zen Touch MP3 player.

* Creative EP630 (licenced Sharp MD33) - $29.00
* Pioneer SE-CL30 Encapsulated Headphones - $29.00
* ezEars SX50 Sound Isolating Earphones $24.00 – (popular but with no high frequency?)
* JVC HA-FX55 Inner Ear Earphones $24.00USD ***
* Audio-Technica ATH-CK5 Inner Ear Headphone $35.50

*** There is also a JVC HP-FX55 In-Ear Phones - $35.00 but the JVC.com site does not have any info for this ones.

I listen to all kinds of music more or less and I use the MP3 player in the bus.
The prices above are mainly before shipping and my budget is around $40.

If somebody has 2 or more earphones from the above list please write their impressions.
I know that everyone has different prefferences and probably there is not such thing as "best".
My brain now is almost fried and I need a sleep.

Thanks in advance folks,
Genti

I had/used the sharp md33s up until quite recently (upgraded to the shure e2g). I found them to be a great introduction into the world of IEMs. You get good detail and isolation.

Couple minuses:
Because it's basically an largish grill w/ the tip around it, I ofund they easily trapped ear wax inside. You'll have to make sure your ears are clean each time you use them as the wax sticks in the grill.

2) microphonics.. I was wearing them while walking and found the microphonics on them quite bad. After switching to the shures that wrap around the ear I noticed the difference even more.

Summary: if you're willing to up the budget a bit.. I'd say go for the shure e2c/e2g, the UE super.fi 3 studios, or the ety er6i. It's a worthwhile upgrade and a good way to skip some of the real budget entries (good as they are for the money).

The Shures and the ER are out of my budget. I know that someday probably I will end buying something in their range but right now I am still a student at the beggining of the semester

I was looking only at earbuds since I wanted something to fit my pocket(no over/behind the hear). I totally forgot about earclips. And I noticed that they have excellent reviews. For the time being they are at the top of my list and likely to remain.

None of the above imho - long live the Koss Clips! KSC-35 or KSC-75!

"Wich" one would I get? Probably some KSC-75's.

I am getting them tomorrow.
The poll I started does no justice to the KSC-75s. I do not know how to change it so a moderator can add the KSC-75 option if they want.

Ditto. Forget all of those thrashy cans you're thinking about. What you need is a pair of KSC-75s. You'll thank us later on.

I have been trying them for half an hour with different kind of music and I loved them. The sound is the most important thing and I can not complain for the price. I doubt that earplugs in the $21 range can sound as good.
My girlfriend says that I look so '80s but I do not care

The cables are also relatively thick so I hope they will last.

Thanks folks and enjoy the music...

After a year or so I lost my headphones...

I am thinking to get the KSC75s again but i had a problem with them. The sound was great, one of the best budget headphones I have tried so far, but the clip that goes behind the ear gets loose after some time. At first I kind of liked the fact that the connection between the clip and the driver was not static because it would come off and not break something but after a while it got really loose. Few times i thought I lost one of the clips because they would come off easily.

Would you recommend KSC6 or KSC9 or KSC22? They have a support clip but they have a small driver, I do not know how that sounds.
The P series does not have a proper support so probably the headphone would fall out easily and would not have any real bass.

I am not looking at the Sparkplugs because my girlfriend has them and although they sound really nice I cannot get used to them, i think it is like inserting an anal probe in my ear. I am more on the KSC75 because of the low distortion and high sensitivity (the same specs as the Sparkplugs).

Beside the KSC series I am also looking at the KEB series that look similar to
Creative EP630 (Sharp MD33). Do they have a proper bass?

I will try the Sparkplugs a little more and see if I get used to the probes

Thank you guys!
